Good movies

Have I seen any good movies lately?
Short answer, no. There have been no good movies lately, they are just getting boring. Maybe I'm just comparing to the classics like Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Lethal Weapon, James Bond (pre blondie) and of course... Jay and Silent Bob films. Chasing Amy, Clerks I & II, Mallrats.

Although it was at the cinema, it wasn't actually a movie... the new Ayrton Senna documentary was great, maybe only because I am a massive motorsport fan and I was at least alive to see one of his races (I watched his win at Adelaide in 1993 on TV, the last time he won a race, and also the last time he finished a race.)

Deviant Art

I now have a Deviant Art :D I finally decided I should show off my photoshop and gaming works on the expanded intrawebz... Check it out if you want and maybe leave a comment or 2 on ideas for a new image or advice on how to make my current ones better.
I don't have many on there at the moment but I will be uploading a fair few more, including screenshots of cars I have painted for rFactor, Custom game covers and other random artworks created out of bordom on Photoshop.

NHL theme

2 NHL themed images, first is an Anime style female goaltender with the classic team the Quebec Nordiques. The shape was downloaded from Deviant Art, I just added colour and team logos :)

Photobucket

The second one is a quick custom cover I made for the upcoming NHL 12 game. I used retired goaltender Patrick Roy as the player. The background was more of an experiment, so the quality is a little bit random :P

Photobucket

Might have a few more custom covers when I get better/can be bothered :P

Take care

AWWWWW YEEEEAAHH!!!

Rolling on

Well this weekend was quite fun if I do say so myself. I went up to my mums place to visit and I went to see the new Senna documentary at the movies. It has to be the best Ayrton Senna doco I have watched to date.
I have also seemed to fix a problem with my computer that was really bugging me. I kept getting gapped textures in games, like random texture gaps that follow the wireframe of the model. I installed an old nVidia driver, 160.95 and it actually fixed it, I couldn't believe it. haha.

The last few days I have also had Journey stuck in my head... you know. "Don't stop.... believin'.... oh-wah-ooohhh". Yeah, that one.

I have found the address needed to send my OTEN forms in to start this IT course, so that should be done this week. Any other news? I think not.
Till next time :)

ISO settings

Here are 2 examples of how the ISO setting on your camera affects the outcome of your image.
The first image is taken using an ISO setting of 6400.
The image is grainy and has a lot of noise from when the camera processed the image.

The second image is taken using an ISO setting of 100. There is very little grain or noise, and overall it is a very nice quality photo.

Photoshop

Quick 5 minute work in Photoshop :)

5 minute work in Photoshop waiting for lunch :P

Ahhh the weekend

Monday 8th, August.

Well, what did I do over the weekend?
Well I bought Battlefield 2 for the computer for $10. Complete bargain in my opinion, so I spent most of the weekend playing that. My girlfriend stole my camera and now I can't find it >.> Fail.
I was also trying to apply for an OTEN IT course but the site didn't tell me anything about where to submit the forms, so annoying because I need to do it by Friday. Any ideas?

I also did some more photoshop fun, I made a watermark for my TAFE images because I'm cool like that. However I seem to have forgotten to place it on my Thumbdrive..... urggghh. Maybe next week :P
Well that is really all,
Take care :)

Some small editing

Rightio then, here is a photo I took today of a No-smoking sign at TAFE.

Looks pretty good.... little too blue though. And with the magical and mysterious power of photographyshopping (Photoshop) and some messing around in the Variations and Colour Balance...

SHAZAM!!

Looks a lot better doesn't it? Very, very nice... pure win... pure win.

Until next time, I bid you good day

First post!

My first post on the new blog :)
Haven't been on Blogspot in a few years since my last blog sort of ran dry. Hopefully I'll get that one up and running again soon with some new pics. This blog will mostly contain what ever Linda tells me to put here. And some random stuff anyone wants to see.... nothing suss. >.>
